Con una receta muy parecida, de la que se cuenta que era alimento b\u00e1sico para las tropas romanas. Seg\u00fan parece, eran verdaderos expertos en recetas majadas de este tipo.<\/p>\n<p>Con el tiempo, tambi\u00e9n se convirti\u00f3 en alimento b\u00e1sico para los vareadores en los olivares andaluces. Tanto es as\u00ed, que si no ten\u00edan pan del d\u00eda anterior, lo sustitu\u00edan por las llamadas \u201charinas de pobres\u201d como la harina de haba seca o la de altramuces.<\/p>\n<p>El Salmorejo como tal no se conoce hasta tiempo despu\u00e9s de la llegada a Espa\u00f1a de los tomates con Colon, sobre el siglo XVIII (hasta entonces el Tomate era solo una planta ornamental).
